🎬 A proud moment for Tanarata!
Congratulations to Saanvi Naveen Kana of Year 11B on her role as a Youth Juror at FreedomFilmFest 2026, held from 22–25 October at the Petaling Jaya Performing Arts Centre (PJPAC).
Saanvi’s journey began with Cilik Sinema, a film literacy and critical thinking programme by the Freedom Film Network. Her thoughtful observations and active contributions led to her selection for the Youth Jury, evaluating international documentary entries.
Chosen to represent the Youth Jury at the closing ceremony, Saanvi wrote and delivered the official jury statement before an international audience and, alongside her fellow jurors, presented the Best Documentary Film Youth Jury Award to the winning director. Her experience was also featured in arts magazine Eksentrika.
A special thank you to Ms Kamalini, our English teacher, for encouraging students to participate in Cilik Sinema and opening the door to this opportunity.
Saanvi, we are proud of your curiosity, confidence and thoughtful leadership. Keep asking meaningful questions, exploring new perspectives and making your voice heard! 🌟

Following the directive late in the evening today to close schools, we have taken the call to remain open as it causes a lot of disruption to working parents. Should you decide to keep your child at home tomorrow, based on the rising API and directive, you will find the lessons missed on the Google classrooms.
We insist that all students be masked. We will have no outdoor activities till the API falls below dangerous levels.
Starting at a new school is a big moment for any child, which is why creating a welcoming environment from day one matters.
At Tanarata International Schools, we want every student to feel comfortable, supported and excited to be part of the TiS community.
Thinking about making TiS your child’s next school? Come meet us and experience our community for yourself.

We are resuming normal physical school tomorrow, 13 Oct, Tuesday
We will continue to monitor the situation with PE and all outdoor ECA switching to indoor should the API be at an unhealthy level.
We hope not to switch to online learning again unless the API goes beyond 250 as private schools have the flexibility of deciding depending on their own unique situations. Should the air quality become poor, students are advised to wear masks while outdoors.
We hope to see everyone back in school tomorrow .
A safe school journey starts long before your child walks through the classroom door 🚌💚
At TiS, we know that getting to and from school is an important part of your child’s daily experience. That’s why our school transport is designed with safety, comfort and peace of mind in mind so your child can start and end each school day with confidence.
With transportation vendors you can trust, we cover most residential areas in KL, PJ, & Selangor.
Looking for a school where your child’s wellbeing is considered at every step?
